Soul Warrior Interview: Sabrina Bolin

January 27, 2014
This past round of The Ahimsa Project was an amazing blessing! We had over 30 women sign up for a participate in the program over the holidays and saying I was impressed would be an understatement. The women who joined in the yoga, meditation and self-love fun not only rocked the curriculum with grace and ease, they also created a community of their own. They became true soul warriors, Ahimsa Ohmies and creators of a self-love revolution.

Prior to the start of the project, I had asked a handful of beautiful, talented and inspirational women to join in the fun as well as contributors to the program. Each one of these women contributed love, information and inspiration in a way like I had never seen. I was so glad to have them there to watch the process and enjoy their own!

Sabrina Bolin is one of those warriors! She was a gift in this program and I am ever grateful to have her and to introduce her to you now!

1. Why did you want to be a part of The Ahimsa Project? What was it that pulled you in?

I have always been fascinated by the interpretations of the practice of Ahimsa, and I love the way Jenny brought the focus to self-love, given that it typically relates to others.

I knew from Jenny’s energy and presence that her program would be a great opportunity for women to deepen their life experience through the power of self-love, and I was honored to be a part of that!

2. If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring 5 things, what would they be? …and also, what’s the one thing you would consciously leave behind?

Oh this question is always a tough one for me because I would miss the PEOPLE (and my dogs!) more than anything!

But if it were my destiny to live out my days alone on a gorgeous private island, I honestly don’t think I would bring anything. Things have never given me the satisfaction that experiences and connections do, and I can’t think of one thing I would need that I couldn’t find there on island to support me.

In this vision of my alternate reality, I would spend my days connecting more deeply to myself through meditation and spend my conscious waking moments exploring and relaxing on my beautiful little oasis. Ah, sweet serenity 🙂

3. If you could write a love letter to your 14 year old self — what would it say?

Hello gorgeous soul,

Your gentle way is your gift. Your unique way of being in the world is your gift. Your awkwardness is your gift.

Truly, you have so much more going for you than you could ever realize.

Let go of the desire to “fit in” and recognize how beautiful you are.

You are perfect EXACTLY as you are.

I love you,
Me

P.S.

You’re really really loved.

4. What’s your favorite self-love activity?

Barefoot grounding in my backyard, sun shining on my face, and conscious communion with the natural world

5. What is one thing you want the world to know?

The Universe has got your back…truly. Always and in all ways.

6. What’s your favorite treat?

My favorite treat in life is a good, spontaneous midday cuddle with my man. No matter how many emails need to be answered, posts need to be written, projects need to be created, it is always important for me to flow love in all areas of my life that feed my soul.

I hope you all enjoyed meeting Sabrina! To learn more about her, read her bio below and be sure to visit her beautiful site.

Namaste,
